Electrical Safety Training
This hands-on safety session uses live demonstrations to break down basic electrical concepts and show how circuit breakers, GFCIs, and high-voltage powerlines really work. Perfect for employees at any experience level, it's a powerful reminder of how to stay safe around electricity.
Subtitles are available in other languages, including Spanish, for both live and recorded sessions. Click below to get notified when registration opens.

This engaging 2-hour presentation introduces fundamental electrical concepts and safety practices through live demonstrations. The session covers:
- Basic Electricity Concepts:
- Electric Current and Voltage: Explanation of current (flow of electricity) and voltage (electrical pressure) in simple terms.
- Circuits: Overview of how circuits work, including the difference between series and parallel circuits.
- Conductors and Insulators: Demonstration of materials that conduct electricity (e.g., metals) versus those that resist it (e.g., plastic, rubber).
- Electrical Safety Basics: Importance of grounding, avoiding water near electrical devices, and recognizing common hazards.
- Circuit Breaker Demonstration: A corded drill will be submerged in a plastic tub of water to show how a standard circuit breaker detects overloads or short circuits, interrupting power to prevent hazards.
- GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) Demonstration: Using the same drill-in-water setup, the presentation will highlight how a GFCI quickly detects ground faults and cuts power to prevent electric shock, showcasing its faster response compared to a standard breaker.
- High-Voltage Powerline Demonstration: A 15,000-volt transformer with a model powerline setup will illustrate the immense power and danger of overhead power lines, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe distances.
Multilingual Subtitles Available
